Peggy, Thank-you for offering to help with the placement of our head system. I already have your book “Get Rid of Boat Odors” and have found it helpful. The reason I was looking at a vertical tank is the available space. The bag I removed was up against the bulkhead and it appears to be a good location. Since the head is directly behind the bulkhead, the hose run would be very short, approximately 4 feet straight up. I have looked at the Hunter Photo Project Archives and noted that a couple of other people have mounted a 15 gallon tank toward the upper rear of the cockpit hatch but I do not like the long hose run and the small tank. The head I am using is the Jabsco with the aftermarket electric adaptor. (I know you do not like these heads but I have to use what I have at the moment. When it fails I will replace it with a higher quality one) The vertical tank will also allow access to the hatches concealing some water valves at the bottom of the main hatch. In addition, the pump-out and vent lines should be no longer than 2 feet. I am hoping to put in a tank approximately 20-30 gallons. I have not sourced out the tank yet. I live in Ontario, Canada and have not had much luck yet in finding a tank distributor in Canada. Any assistance or advice you could give would be very appreciated. Thank-you, Scott Andrews Sauble Beach, Ontario

I'm in all the owner directories. Then we can get into specifics of your particular installation in more detail than is practical in a discussion forum.
