Tracy, We have a 1990 33.5 and had some water damage to the botton edges of the teak plywood in front of the Ice Box, the Stove, and the Galley Sink a few inches up from the cabin deck. The water seemed to be coming out from under the Ice Box...but after a while we noticed it was only after running the engine. It turned out to be leaking from the Raw Water Vented Loop at the rear of the engine compartment on the bulkhead just above the engine. It is in the hose line the takes the warm cooling sea water from the engine and delivers it to the mixing elbow so it can go out with the exhaust. The small vented Loop at the top of the stainless steel inverted U shaped tubing has welded on mounting ears that are screwed into the bulkhead with the sound deadening insulation. This presses the vented Loop (plastic) against the insulated bulkhead and pushes it forward. This puts the rear threads in tension and the forward threads in compression.. The whole thing vibrates every time the engine is running. A failure waiting to happen. Get longer mounting screws and put some standoffs behind the mounting ears (a stack of washers would work). This brings the vented Loop Valve away from the bulkhead. You would need to replace the vented loop Valve (Scott Marine VB-18) also. We have not seen any leaking from the lazerette into the cabin. We ocassonally get water into the lazerette when washing down the cockpit, but just sponge it out. I finally replaced the last 6 or so inches of the teak plywood with some Teak marine Plywood from Boulter Plywood in Sommerville, MA - it came out great.
