Hi all,
I have been chatting with the Martec folks about the best size for a folding propeller for my 1989 Hunter 33.5. For some reason my engine is not the 2GM20F, it is just a regular 2GM, so the prop I need is a little less aggressive than the standard 16x11. The Martec guy says that he'd recommend a 16x10 but he says that on the Hunter 33.5 there may not be enough clearance for the blades to fully collapse in the closed position and I should check. Can't really do that right now with the boat in the water and would like to have the prop ready to go for when it gets out. Does anyone with a 33.5 have a folding prop installed and know your diameter/pitch/taper? He says I could fall back with a 14x12 which would clear but the 16x10 would have better performance both forwards and reverse.
Thanks.
