After a bit more research and phone calls to Hunter Marine and Barbour Plastics, it has been determined that, yes, the rub rail is no longer available. I am now on the quest to find a suitable replacement before season starts.
I've heard they still have the dies and will make a batch for you, but you have to order several hundred feet.
Yes, the Barbour rep said the same thing. However several hundred feet was 500' at $2500 (plus shipping). There has to be another solution out there.
I think there was another person who posted recently about having done just that, and was trying to sell the excess.
I searched the archives and didnt find anything on that, hopefully someone knows who that person was and can point me in the right direction.
Thanks to any and all that might be able to help me. I have contacted rubrails.com and Taco to see what options are out there for me, but without measurements I am out of luck for now. Looks like I will need to head down to the lake this weekend.
Thanks,
Steve E.
