Hunter 31 Stanchion

Hello all, has anybody ever changed a stantchion on a Hunter 31 2007? Its bolted inside the bolt and i wonder if i have to undo all the boat or if its an easy job to get to the two nuts, please help The stanchion is the center one that is located in the living room. And also, what kind of scelant should i use? is the 5200 marine silicone good ? ty

Hi Superweeds,

I believe the 31 stanchions were bolted through the toe rail. Can you post a photo of the base? Does it look like either of the stanchions shown here?

DO NOT, USE 5200 You may one day need to rebed it or replace it again. Check out mainsails how-to pages here.
