Probably needs to be a solid pin to carry the loads. Should be 316 stainless steel . Talk to a machine shop and take the stuff to them ; they should be able to fix ya up for $30 or less. If you are a diy guy, measure it with a micrometer; you might be able to buy some precise sized pin on line. Resist the temptation to use threaded stock; it will crack.
Long as the car's bracket isn't cracked you should be able to follow's Kloudie's suggestion. You can find a replacement lead car but they're pricey. But if you decide to replace the car... check with Garhaurer Marine … they make good stuff and it's very reasonably priced. For instance the Schaefer version of your twin sheet genoa lead is priced over $250 at West Marine. You can buy the Garhaurer EZ glide adjustable genoa lead car system for 1" track for 265. ($350 for the 1.25" track)That's TOTAL... both sides. Or you buy a basic pin stop car and spring supported swivel lead block or around 50. Think on it.
