Recently purchased a Hunter '31 1985. Have noticed a "gurgling" and somewhat annoying noise from the exhaust outlet while, of course, engine running as the exhaust exits through the water. Anyone have a solution or know of an adapter or something for better routing, etc.?

Different routing

Mine had been rerouted by the previous owner out the Stbd side just fwd of the transom about midway up. Works fine and I can tell the water pump is working easily.
