Hunter 30T Holding tank replacement

I recently purchased a 1992 30T Hunter. It still has the original aluminum holding tank but the last owner did have it repaired. Still, I would like to replace it with a plastic holding tank.
I see from reading other forums that Roy Mosteller had instructions and photos that he kindly shared with others. If anyone out there has these instructions, I would really appreciate a copy.

Wish I had been there when the guys replaced mine this summer. They had to take it out by cutting away where the batteries are. They also opened a small area in the aft berth bulkhead. The good news is that they were able to get a 24 gallon plastic replacement! when they finished up you wouldn't know they had done anything. Total cost was $1,100 as it was a clock eating exercise. They also put a 4" inspection port in the aft berth bulkhead so I could check on how full/empty it was.

I posted a copy of Roy Mostellers instructions that he sent me in 2004 in the Boat Info 30_88-94 downloads section of this website. I did mine slightly differently but here are Roy's notes as you requested. The biggest deal is bending and attaching the sanitation hoses. Have fun. It's worth it.

I replaced mine on my old 30T years ago. I cut a hole in the bulk head and put a nice trim around the hole when finished. I installed a custom 24 gallon tank.

dhmagee, the file is on the Hunter 30_88-94 Information Center page under Downloads. You have to actually click on the icon for the 30_88-94 model on the Hunter Boat Information page to get to this specific page. There are 2 files there, I also uploaded the original sales brochure for the 30T. Both files are there.

Thanks for your information. I would also like to install a 24 gallon tank. How were you able to get enought room for that big of a tank?
