Well ... I did it. Restored (in 3 seasons) our 1978 Hunter 30. Am so proud of how it came out, I shot a 2-minute video of it this past weekend (it's a 3.8 Mb Windows Media file but well-worth the download time). Click this link or right click and save to your hard drive. The video shows the completely painted topside decks, the newly finished teak, the custom cushions in the cockpit, the new running rigging PLUS a few interior shots to give the full tour. Would love to know what others think of our Pamela 3!

hey Elvis1

Would love to see your "movie" as we are in the last season of re-habbing our 79 H30. But, when I click on related link there is nothing there!

Windows Media file

You need to have Windows Media Player installed. If this is on your computer, it will launch the video in the player. You can also try to download the video by right mouse clicking the link (if you're on a Mac neither of these will make much sense). The link/video is saved at: http://www.hunter30.com/hunter30.wmv Good luck!

Beautiful - more discussion wanted

Congratulations on a beautiful refit! I think we'd like to see a list of the improvements you've made. In particular, did you add the cockpit coaming teak (we have a Cherubini 27 with just fiberglass non-skid on the coamings)? If so, can you explain how you fit and attached it? I'd love to add that to ours...

Love that nav desk

Terrific job, Elvis! I have a '79 H30 and have always wanted to level the navdesk so it could double as additional galley counter space. We don't have as much need for a fullblown navdesk these days with GPS and chart books. Did you do level yours, or was it built that way? I like the shelf, too. If it was your design, do you have it in digital format that could be posted or emailed? Thanks...

She's a beauty....

Nice job....having just gone through pretty much the same thing with our '81, I know how rewarding it feels when it's all done, and you get to show her off. I like what you've done in the galley, and that shelf over the nav table is a nice touch. Cheers! CapnArt

Teak addition?

Vessel looks great, I'm refurbishing a 76 25, did you add teak to the deck particularly around the cockpit? If so how did you fasten it? Congrats, nothing like bringing an ole' boat back to life. You should submit photos to the mag. "Good Old Boat". Best of luck, Mark

Just Awsom

Great job! I can see many.... hours of work that you can be proud of. I played the video several times with the pause button on hand. Lots of interior changes that got my mind up and running. I like the nav station and the relocation of the power panel. In the V berth is that space on the floor? just added storage? Or is that a folding step to get into the berth? In the nav area I like your shelf. I want to do something close to that so I can mount electronics and also have a grab bar of the sort. Jon Cheribini would be proud of your efforts. I have done many add-ons to my 30 over the last 12 years. It is a LABOR OF LOVE. Make sure you post some stills on the web so I can print for the guys at the club your handy work.

Elvis1, Are you there or out sailing?

Everyone would like to see some still pictures so that we can build a nav station like yours.

I couldn't get the movie either....

until my husband installed a whole bunch of updates for windows. If you are only installing "critical" updates you're probably missing the updates that make the media player work.
