Hunter 30 1975 Engine and paint

I am looking for help in locating a product to strip the deck paint as it was done very badly before I purchased my Hunter. I do not know what sort of paint it is. Also I was intrested in attaching an outboard as an aux. motor as the Yanmar 13 is on its last legs. If anyone has done this or has any info on min. HP or max. HP or what type of mount to use I would very much Appreciate it. John Walsh
