Hunter 290 throttle/ transmission cable

Transmission part of this cable system broke off and looking for any info on replacement. Getting the correct size seems to be the big issue. Also any tips or info on fitting this would be appreciated.Manual is very basic. Picture of throttle system attatched.

Pull the old one out and measure it?

Look on the cable jacket for the model number. Encoded in the number is the length of the cable. The Teleflex cables are now universal.

Thanks, retro fit went well, just time conssumming threading them thru and the cables were available at most part shops.

I also have a Hunter 290 (2000), that I bought in 2020. I sailed it from Cleveland to my new home on Agate Harbor, MI(Keweenaw Peninsula). The cable is very hard to move. It has been damaged by getting up against the exhaust manifold. I have a new cable to in stall this winter. Would you please call me for help with the routing. Cheers, Scott 509-630-6290
