I am considering buying a 1995 Hunter 29.5, but noticed that the long, fixed windows on each side of the cabin are each bulging somewhat in the middle, right where the support for the deck lies behind the window. It seems like a bulge which could have been caused by excessive rig pressure, or possibly by sitting wrong in a cradle. The bulge is about the size of my hand, and comes up perhaps 1/4 inch or maybe a bit more. There are no cracks in the window itself, and no evidence of leakage around the window. The owner of the boat claims that it was like that when he bought the boat new. Hunter technicians claim the window should be flat, and not have a bulge. What is going on here? What is causing it? Will it get worse? Can it be repaired, or is there any need for a repair? Is the deck getting ready to drop into the cabin, or is this no big deal at all?
