Hunter 29.5 speaker location

My boat came without stereo system. I think it's nice to have item and it is on my to do list. There is best location to install speakers on Hunter 29.5? I was thinking of putting them on side of the center console beneath the ice box. I am sure somebody did it before and can provide some recommendation. Needless to say, that I am not in favor of making holes in fiberglass or liner so I would like to get it right from the first time.

under the aft rail seats

This was a great spot on my 29.5 -- facing forward helped the stereo sounds and volume, there was NO damage to fiberglass structures and when you sell you can take them with you with no worries about big empty holes in the console.

Agree w/ Bill

I did the same as bill for the cockpit. I boaugh these pods (navpods I believe) that mount under teh seats. Worked well and protected the speakers. in the cabin I mounted teh speakers and stereo in the forward bulkhead. see pic.
