Hunter 29.5 engine control

Hi,My factory original dual action shift and trottle engine control is starting to be too worn out for my confort and I would like to replace it. Can anyone tell me what is that model Hunter used or what can I use without changing the cables ? Is it a Morse, Teleflex, are the cable coming in from the top or the bottom of the pedestal... they have many models I am lostThanksMario Hunter 29.5 1995 C'est MA VIe

Mario, I have an H280 which is very similar to

your 29.5 and my controls are Morse - MV-2 to be specific. It has a squarish body with a single arm control; a popout button to disengage the shifter and an odd pullup knob at the end of the lever to overide the neutral detent (to go from N to F and N to R). On mine, the cables are routed down the pedestal, back to the space where the fuel and holding tanks are, down then forward through the central channel under the rear berth to the engine. Yes that is it. I cannot find the brand or modele of that lever... It is starting to be a little loose and sploppy to oparate I would like to change it for a newer modele but i do not know what fits. Thanks !Mario

Clark, that is it !Right on, Morse MV-2 it is. I found it on the internet and I will order either parts for mine or a new unit to replace with similar. probably easier then trying to make something else fit there.Many thanks for the info.Mario
