hunter 28.5 traveler car

Does anyone have detailed isntructions on how to get the rutgerson traveler car off of the track on a hunter 28.5. I cannot seem to get the end off of the track and even if i could I dont think there is not enough clearance to remove the car. Does the whole track need to be taken off? The car has lost one side of the nylon rollers.

I would suggest that you get a very large screw driver (preferably with a square shank) and a wrench so you can work on getting the end cap off. It took me a couple of hours to remove my track last year.

I belive that the problem is the SS screws are drilled/tapped into an aluminum plate and you have corrosion between the two metals.

Best of luck, 'cause it can be a big job.

You may also want to consider someone bigger/stronger than you to give you a hand. Think about an impact driver too.
