Hunter 27 Legend -2005 Length of engine control cables?

Dear Hunter experts,

My gear control cable suddenly got sticky after the marina made a service on my boat.
Not sure what happened but from one day to the other it was not possible too engage reverse.
I have inspected the cable and it sticks when pulled back to the last centimeter.
A new cable is needed but did not have time to measure the old one.
Does anyone know the right length of the gear control cable?
Would like to order one before I go back to the boat next time
Any good tips for a pain free replacement?

I have not had to replace mine so I'm not certain but I believe I read somewhere that each cable has the length and/or model number stamped on one or both of the ends. Maybe start there?

I don't have a Hunter, but my control cables are 13'. Wanted them to be shorter (tried 11') but that created more problems so I went back to the 13' cables.

Contact the forum store as they have the build list of parts for your boat. I once knew but I retired. I introduced your boat

Thanks, will try that. I did write to Hunter but not got any response yet but definitely will try the forum store now
Great to hear from someone that was part of the introduction, we really enjoy the boat. Especially the comfort for this size of boat.

The BuildList says they are both 18ft, any common 3300 control cable, we offer TFXtreme:

I think the hull came from US but the rest was commissioned here in the UK

Hull was molded in Britain. Hunter opened a plant there but to include legend in the name as there was a company already called Hunter in England

Interesting. I have a builders certificate among in my boat documents stating that "Warren R. Luhrs of Hunters Marine Cooperation, build it at the yard at Alachua, FL USA" and that they build it to the order of the Dealer in the UK

That makes sense. Pity they stopped. Its a great boat for it's size.
