Hunter 27 1975

I have just came across a 1975 27ft.Hunter at the local marina. The boat has being sitting high and dry since 1997.It has a Yanmar diesel ,wheel, Harken furling,mainsail new head with tank and stove. They want 18.500 canadian . Good deal? Thanks for the help

Doesn't sound like a stock boat

#1: the wheel, came with the T cockpit, in 1980, #2 porta potties were used in the mid 70's, $3: 18500. is a lot of money for a boat that sold for 12K, 25 years ago. a 77 sold at my marina for $4000. U.S. but no wheel, how much trouble is it to buy in USA and transport ?

My h27 1979 came with a wheel

I have owned the boat for 17 years and its always had a wheel and has no provisions for a tiller.

H-27 cost

Price sounds a little high if the boat isn't in pristine condition. I got my 1978 H-27 in almost pristine condition for a trade of my Columbia Contender 24 (in very, very good condition) + 3grand + shipping. Best guess at the Contender's value --> $5K? That makes my purchase around 8K. I don't know what the exchange rate is now, but I think you've got a lot of "dickering" room on the price. Being that she's been on the hard since 1997, I'd insist on a complete survey before you commit. Nevertheless, it's a GREAT boat and you'll love her!Good Luck,Neil

I paid 6000 last fall

Last August I Paid 600 for my 78. The asking price was 11900. The boat surveyed clean and has offered me no surprises.
