Hunter 260 V Berth Under Bed Hatch

Does anyone know what the H260 V Birth under bed hat h was designed for? It's an unusual shape that I have found no use for yet but was curious... surely Crazy Dave will know?

I assume your talking the oval hatch in the v berth? It’s a hold over from the h26 where you could stow the cockpit table. I don’t believe any of the 260’s have the socket in the cockpit deck for the table so there is just an oval piece of plywood covering that spot.

Yes.... My H26 had the table.... and it fit in the oval under the V-berth

It would have been too costly to make new interior floor deck pans upping the cost of the 260. It was decided to keep the same floor pan as I suggested
