Howdy All! Thanks for helping a rookie here. Just made the jump to a 26' Hunter and am learning as I go so your help is much appreciated. I have my shore power connected in my slip and yet the battery is still draining to the point it is dead. Any help on the process of properly hooking up shore power and which order to throw the switches and troublshooting will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you! I am loving her so far! So the shore breaker switch I turn to 'ON', but the orange light does not light up. The ACC switch is turned on as well as Cabin Lights, Battery checks out as healthy. Where is the Battery Monitor located? Thank you!

Here is your Hunter 260 Owner's manual and many other Downloads that might help...
HunterOwners.com downloads

It is the Battery Charger brand name that might help us.

Welcome to the Site and @sail sfbay is great helper too.

Does your shore power cord have a blue or orange light that illuminates to verify power from shore power supply is working?

Shore power was either a dealer or owner install. Can you provide photos of power inlet and breaker panel? Do you have first any indication shore power is on at the dock. Generally it was a 30 amp service

I always try to simplify things. Plug in the cable to the shore power pedestal and to the boat. Turn the pedestal switch to On. Inside the boat turn the ac current breaker ON at the panel and plug a lamp into an outlet and turn it ON. If it lights up you are connected. Your inboard battery charger should be hardwired to power and turn On when the breakers are switched on. The charging leads should be attached to the corresponding (+) and (-) posts on the battery. A digital multimeter should show at the battery posts a voltage of 13 to 14V if the charger is working properly. A fully charged battery at rest (2 hours or more)should have a voltage of 12.6V. Then if any problem persists shut all power down and take off the positive battery terminal and using a 12V lightbulb sitting on the post touch the terminal to its side. If the bulb lights up you have a power drain from a likely short circuit or possibly a stuck bilge pump switch which may be discharging your battery. If the bulb does not light up then move on to the battery itself. You can pull it out and take it to an auto parts store to have it bench tested. Usually a computer print out will tell if the battery is bad. Also understand that a deeply depleted battery can take up to 6 or 7 hours to recharge. Sometimes our smart battery chargers will not react to a too deeply discharged battery and may need an old single phase charger to give it a jolt. Good luck.

On the DC panel, the mast light switch is on-off-on switch. The switch needs to be in the center to be off. One was acts as a steaming light and the other is an anchor light. There are two bulbs with divider in the mast light.
