I need owners manual for HUNTER 260. Also any recommandation to install inboard engine for this model. I've just bought a second hand HUNTER 260/ 1996 any advice will be highly appreciated.
This link is on hunterowners.com but is a little tricky to find. Inboard engine details on page 57. It's news to me that you can fit an inboard in a 260; I thought you had to have a 270 for that - you may get advice from someone who has this configuration.
I think it would be very difficult if not impossible to install and inboard engine in a 260. The water ballast tank would be in the way of installing a transmission and prop shaft. The inboard version of the 260 is the 270 and it has a fixed keel. Alan Long
The older keeled versions of the 260 were called..
...260's also. Latter on they changed the designation to a 270. However, I agree that while possible, probably not practicable to install an inboard on the water ballasted versions. alan
