Dave, Thanks for your reply. The outboard motor is a Nissan 9.9 HP, 2 stroke motor, 2004 model year. Will the 11' long cables be of sufficient length? to avoid breakage when the motor is tilted to the upright position ?. How are the cables fastened to the pedestal shift and speed control levers?. What fastener holds the cables to the inside of the pedestal, I notice a 1/4" hole about 10 " below the levers on the outside of the bow side of the Edson pedestal.

Having sold nearly 1/4 of that production line, I know my stuff and yes the cables are long enough for that. You need to get help locally for that as it will be hard writing. Phone? send me a private email with location and phone number and I will call.
