I'm interested in taking my Hunter 26 to the the Bahamas and the Dry Tortugas on vacation next year. Fellow 26/260 owners, has anyone experienced or know anyone that has had a problem with the water ballast tank rupturing or leaking from the constant pounding of the waves? I hate to pour money into my boat if it won't be able to take the abuse. Thanks for your input.

I think it will be fine
From what I can tell the boats leak early on in their career or not at all. My tank leaked from where a screw was installed in too long a size. It was hard to find the leak but easy to repair.

Rudder problem
The Hunter that broke his rudder was a 260, there was a H26 and his rudder was fine. The rudder on the 260 seems to be a weak point on the boat. ken
