Is there a commercially available tiller to outboard connecting rod? I searched the archives, and a post from 2001 stated that it was a custom project. Not sure if a manufacturer has since picked up on this.

H26 Rudder-Tiller Connector

Connecting the engine and rudder so they swing in unison allows the H26/260 to back and turn much easier. There are numerous ways to rig your boat -- a lot depends on the type of engine you have. The two most common manufacturers of this connection are E-Z Steer and Goldeneye. Also parts can be fashioned from materials purchased at your local hardware store. Ideally, you want a "install and forget" setup that requires no brackets and no adjustments when raising or lowering the engine. Depending on the solution, the cost will be well below $100. Here's some pictures that will give you an idea of what it looks like: http://kb.sailboatowners.com/brand?cat=3 Also you'll find some stuff here: http://kobernus.com/hunter260/ezsteer/ezsteer.html
