I have recently purchased a 1975 Hunter 25, wedge/lady slipper, with inboard diesel. Like the other members of the Cherubini fraternity I am thrilled to be the owner of what I equate to a 1957 Corvette. I previously contacted Hunter on this question and they did not have an answer. I hope someone here has an answer. My HIN is: HUN2550047M75E. The question is...after HUN25...what does the 500 represent. I understand the hull number 47, and because of the age the M actually stands for Marine...not Month, like the new models. 75 is the year, and E is May (actual 5th month), as opposed to December (new HINs start with the month of August).
