Had a nice sail on Sunday on my new to me Hunter 25 1981 model. I have a qestion on the sails. I have a 90% working sail and a 150 Genoa. Both have pendants on the end at the tack about 18 inches in length. I guess to raise the sail up from the deck. Is this normal for the 25? I would guess it is because of the high mainsail height from the deck.

h 25 headsails

The headsail tacked to the deck on the stemplate of the h25 chaffed on the lifelines. The forestay is of sufficient length that allows for the addition of a pennant to lift the headsail foot over the lifeline. I use primarily a working jib with this this setup ot avoid abraiding the foot. Check photoarchives on this sight and you'll see what I mean instantly. Regards, Jim.
