I'm looking for a Hunter 25 rudder. My boat is a 1979 and I grounded last summer. I used a comealong to straighten the rudder but I now see there is a kink in the stainless rudder post just above the rudder.
I would be very careful with used parts unless you actually see them on ebay or craigs list. . It too may have a bent rudder post which photos cannot in many cases show that.
Thank you for the tip. I decided to cut the shaft off and epoxy a stainless tube insert inside to rejoin the pieces. I'm using West System 404 filler. Wish me luck.
