Hunter 25 - Interior Room?

Can anyone out there give me some idea as to the interior space available in the Cherubini-designed Hunter 25? (not the sleek cabin model, but the standard trunk cabin model). I am particulary interested in the following: 1. What's the head height (standing) in the main cabin? 2. How long are the vee berths up forward? They look difficult to get into and out of through that doorway. Any comments? I am over 6 feet, 3 inches tall and interior space in a boat is important! My current 22 footer has a forward vee berth that more than fits me, but to get around anywhere in the boat requires being bent over double. I am not interested in anything larger than 25 feet at this time. Thanks in advance for the help. Fair winds, Stu

Not near enough headroom

Stu...I just sold my 78 Hunter25...buying Hunter30. It was the cabin trunk model (M-3) I stand at 5'7"...and that was just enough for me. I am not sure how long the V-berth was but it was cramped for me...the sattees are longer than the length of the V-berth...You better forget about finding a 25 footer for a man of your statue to stand upright. Not even 30 will give you standing room...never the less the hunter 25 I sold was a nice little boat. built like a tank. T

Interior Space

I am 6'4" and have a 77 H-25. Those interior companionways between the cabin proper, the designated head, and the V-berths are awful. I am very happy with this boat for performance but the v-berths are virtually off limits for me, particularily when under sail. I have owned this boat for four years, and am toying with the idea of cutting and enlarging both openings. I am somewhat afraid of damaging structural strength, but what the hey?
