I'd be interested in hearing from anyone regarding their sailing trips in a Cherubini class Hunter 25. How far they have been, where they sailed, how reliable their boat was in heavy seas etc. Particularly interested in knowing how far they dared sail their boat of this size, trip distance and/or how far offshore they sailed and how long it took. I have spoken to power boaters with bigger boats and they rarely dare venture out of the bay. Trying to get a feel for this boat and how adventurous I can be. Thanks, Mark

Mark, Given the size of our boats most trips that we can do on a 25ft boat is probably within 25 miles of your mooring. At least that has been my experience so far. At least once a summer I'll plan an over nighter where we sail to a spot a spot that is within 60 miles of the mooring, any farther than that it's all sailing and no relaxing. My overnighter trip this year is to the Newport Folk Festival. This is my first year in Buzzards Bay and it looks to me that there is plenty of room for day sailing and plenty of places to go for a weekend trip. Especially out to the Elizabeth Islands and I plan to sail to Martha's Vineyard at least once this summer. Also with some planning it looks like Nantucket is also doable, but I would wait for a 3 day weekend to try it. Scott Hunter 25.5
