Hunter 25 deck pin

I have a 2007 Hunter 25. I'm going to step the mast myself this year and have noticed that it only has one deck pin to lock in the mast. This dosnt seem right. Does any one know what holds the other side in place once the mast is up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mike: The forstay is holding the other side in place. Two pins would be redundent. The pins don't hold the mast up the shrouds do all the work. The deck pin just keeps the bottom of the mast from sliding around. Think about it . Now go out and have some fun with that new boat. Tom T

Tom is correct

Tom is correct. One pin is normal for the new 25. Mine is the same way.
