I would like to ask what brand or type of boom vang went with the Hunter 25, 1982. If anyone could check theirs and let me know or tell me how to figure out what would work with my boat I would be very grateful !! Thanks for your time.
I don't believe the early 25's had boom vangs, however, I added one by adding a bail at the thru-bolt on base of the mast and drilled the centerline of the boom 3-4' back from the goose neck to thru-bolt a boom bail. I used an inexpensive 4:1 Boom Vang between the two bails. West Marine has all the components; the width of the bail will govern the fastener size, probably 3/8" on both bails.
