Hunter 25.5 Schaeffer Traveller Stops and Track

Does anyone have some Schaeffer Traveller stops and a track that are in good shape? These would be 1 in. because my Hunter is a 1985. One stop has a crack in it and the pin comes out of the hole and the boom swings over on a starboard tack. I know that Rig Rite has an upgrade for about $400 but I can't afford it right now.

Did you ever find any traveler parts I ejected one this weekend on a hard jib. I am trying to decide whether to replace or search for a new stop and sell my car and track and one stop. let me know if you need parts or have parts.

Get rid of those awful pin style travelers and up grade to a line control unit that will work SOOO much better for your sailing. Check out Garhauer for a really great traveler at very reasonable prices. Once you try it you'll kick yourself for waiting this long.

I agree with Alan. I upgraded my H23 traveler over last winter by adding the fittings for single-line control to the ends of the track. I had to remove the track (no big deal), and grind the track width down slightly for the units I bought to slide on. I was lucky to find a guy near me that has a lot of used and new parts in his basement, and got the matched pair of cam-cleat-plus-block units for about $100. It is much better than the pin stops.

Thanks I have purchased a new traveler I agree. I plan to convert to 1-1/8 this is the Right Rock. I find playing in the wind as fun sometimes get a little carried a way and find the point of failure and that equals Break Out Another Thousand.
