I am replacing what looks to be the original plastic sail slides on my 1984 Hunter 25.5. This boat has a Kenyon mast. The original rectangular slides have one corner missing and fits into the slide stop groove perfectly. My replacement slides have all four corners. So how do I take off a corner so it will fit the track without melting or breaking the slide? Does someone sell slides with a corner already nipped off? Am I missing something here? A photo is attached.

Any good sailboat retail store would stock those. Or, for sure, a sailmaker has them in Stock. West Marine has some in their catalog, but they rip you price wise. Bainbridge makes most of the most popular sizes and chandleries and sailmakers buy them directly from Bainbridge wholesale and sell them to boat owners retail.

It looks like a stock slide that someone has simply ground the corner off. You can do exactly the same with a grinding wheel or flat file.
