Trying to figure out my rigging on my new to me 2004 Hunter 240. Looks like the mast has a large aft rake, (I believe that’s what you call it). Should I do anything about this or is it good? Looking for any pointers you can give me to help me get is set up correctly. Thanks

That does look a little off. If the mast is not bent then I’d say your shrouds are too tight. Try loosening the shroud turn buckles a quarter turn at a time while tightening the forestay turnbuckle.

Rgranger thanks for the reply. I will be back at the boat taking it out on Tuesday so I will try to make some adjustments then. Just to be sure I’m doing things right, with my roller furler, there is no fore stay on the boat so I don’t think I can adjust anything there. Should I ease the tension on all the shrouds are just the ones that attach to the top of the mast?

You should have a turn buckle between the drum and the foil

Mast rake is normal on these Hunter B&R Riggs. My H25 has a 4” rake designed in the rigging. You should be fine as long as the mast is vertical side to side.

I've recently been working on tuning mine as well. Here is where mine is currently, after much fiddling and starting over. I still feel like there might be too much bend but I haven't been able to get it out and I'm tired of messing with it now. Ha ha.
