I have a Hunter 240, 2001, trying to install a depth sounder. Is the hull cored below the waterline? I want to epoxy the transducer inside the bow.

The 240s are solid fiberglass but I've never heard of anyone successfully installing a transducer in the bow. Most install the trans in the stern behind the ballast tank. Let us know how it works for you, take lots of pics, and don't set the epoxy until you've tested it!

Former dealer and much involved. Solid fiberglass hull. No on the bow as transducer is not on a flat surface and and would shoot sideways. No cutting into water tank. Hell no on epoxy.
Try under the rear berth sanding off the gel coat immersing the transducer into plumbers putty and let dry. Holds and it works @Kermit can attest to this
