Need to hear from those with 240 who have replaced the centerboard uphaul line (runs from centerboard to deck). Are you able to test raise and lower the centerboard while still on the stands and out of the water? I bought '98 240 with binding/frayed 1/2" uphaul line and replaced with 7/16" but am unable to raise the board to test prior to launch even using the winch. The board swings freely and can be raised by hand from under the boat then secured by using the winch. I have experimented with the delrin roller in both positions with the same result. Do these boats need to be in the water/moving forward to raise the centerboard from the deck? Thanks!
