Hunter 240 centerboard issue

Hello All,
I have my centerboard out, the sheeve operates correctly, the pin and sheeve are in the correct holes (bottom for pin and bottom for sheeve, according to an earlier post). When I removed it, the line had jumped the sheeve making it inoperable. So I corrected the routing of the line and just reinstalled it all and it still is impossible to pull up with the purchase and winch. The line is the correct size (7/16). Should I try to sand down the white plastic bushings? I am able to operate the board up and down about 10" with leverage from a 2x4 and it does not seem like it is binding. If I prop the board up all the way, and then tighten the line, the board still comes down.
Thank you!

I was referring to the plastic pads that keep the board centered. I reinstalled it. And used mechanical leverage to lift the board up. Then I put max tension on the Winch and it only dropped a few inches. But after letting it down a couple feet, I couldn't gain any height but it would support it. I think it just need more purchase.

Are you trying to install the centerboard from that position? If so, the bracket may not be aligned correctly. Send a private message with name, phone number and location. It is up to you
