I have a Hunter 240 and I have a couple of questions.

The first question is how do you get the lower battens installed and make them stay in place. Unlike the upper two, there is no keeper flaps and the continue to fall out.

Also, when you install the furling jib, which hole are you using on the bow of the boat? The forward or aft hole.

Thanks for the help

J,
My upper and lower batten pockets are the same. Since I never remove them, my solution would be to use waxed thread and put a couple of stitches in the end of the pocket to hold the batten in place. These could be snipped out to remove the battens for winter storage.

There is a clear photo of my bow in the flying a drifter thread. I use the aft hole.

Here's a link to that thread: http://forums.hunter.sailboatowners.com/showthread.php?t=113431

I sew mine in at spring commissioning and snip the threads to remove them in the fall.

I use the forward hole for the furler, came that way from the PO.
