Well the next addition is a whisker pole < and probably a divorce> Oh Well! I'm not sure how to connect to the mast and where. I'm looking at a Forespar ADJ-15 and a Ronstan pole ring RONRF602. How far up the mast is best to mount the ring, or is it better to get a track and cars on both sides. Thanks for the great response's in advance.

Whisker pole ring should be mounted at clew height. A fixed ring is OK and lower cost than a track unless you have more than one jib sail or fly a spinnaker. You might find this thread on same subject helpful.
Whisker pole set up, front of mast
My mast had a plastic eye screwed to the front of the mast, roughly two feet up. I also have the light duty Forespar whisker pole that came in the boat, although the two shafts are seized together with galv corrosion. One of these days I will continue my effort to free them or just give up and...
