When is the regatta? I don't own a 23 but am considering a purchase. I wouldn't mind making the trip to Indian Lake to see the regatta and speak to owners.

Looking for some one that know the boat H 23

I just bought a 86 Hunter 23. I believe if holds water in the compartment under the starboard lazeret. I think this should drain to the bilge. It dosent. I am considering puting a bilge pump in this area and opening the compartment. Has this ever been a problem with your boat. Why is that compartment seperate. Thanks

my thoughts

You shouldn't be getting water continually in the lazarette. I only do when I'm washing the boat and overload the drain channels. Then I just sponge it out in a bucket. I wouldn't want it connected to the bilge or you'd soon have water up to the floorboards. Check the seals around your cockpit drain and rudder hangers (pintels). Leaking here is probably the source of your water problem.
