Being the day before Thanksgiving, I had free time at work so I called Hunter Marine. I've had a couple of questions in mind and thought I'd give it a try. I got thru and got answers so I thought I'd share same - 1. there is no balance or structural problem with moving the fresh water tank from its current port side location to a 10 gal blader under the cockpit floor. the same is true for the battery. I intend to move the battery some where inside the cabin. These mods will serve 2 ends; 1st, My 23 currently lists to port in the slip and looks like she's sinking and 2nd, moving the CG lower and to the centerline can't help but improve handling. 2. The 2.3 ft keelet the 23's are blessed with can be extended without risking structural problems as long as weight is kept reasonable. I'm working out the details for a 12 to 18 in AL extension bolted to the bottom of the keel. This way I can attach with a marina hoist when available or leave off for trailering. 3. The Hunter Tech guys are in this web site everyday. Don't be shy about your problems/solutions. Post them here because you're talking to them as well as us. Aint that right Greg.
