My Mainsail connectors to the mast on the vertical rise are starting to rust out and I am missing two now. Anyone know what these are officially called and where to get some of them? THey are hanks on a job, but these are the plastic pieces that hold the main to the mast. Thanks, Karl

I believe they are called slugs

and I got a handful of spares from BoatUS I keep in my toolbox, along with some shackles to connect them to the sail - cause if I remember correct, they dont come with those.

Androctus is right

they are sail slugs and your local friendly WM or other chandler has them, or you can get them on line here or through WM, Defender, etc. You need to know the size of the track in the mast and you need to get the little shacles that attah them to the sail.

Rust??

Mine are white nylon and the shackle has a small stainless screw. The track is 1/2" diameter.

I should say

the white, oversized-for-a-23 KENYON mast section has 1/2" track... There are two other masts you might have.

H23 Sail Slugs

I have an extra main in the garage so I measured a slug for the heck of it. I have a Kenyon mast on my H23 at well. The track may well be 1/2", I'm not on the water, but the white nylon slugs on my old main are 3/8" in diameter and 1 1/4" long.

Perfect

Thank you so much for your great responses. I have them on order and should have the two replaced that are currently broken. Not a big bother until you get in a big wind and the vibration gets annoying. Thanks again. Karl
