Some time ago, Hunter sold the centerboard molds for most of their boat models to Foss Foam Products of Florida, however the mold for the 23.5 was destroyed.
In a prevoius post on this forum, Dave Condon graciously offered to pay half the shipping costs to anyone who would supply a H23.5 centerboard, to be used for making a mold so that new boards could be produced by Foss Foam for the Hunter 23.5 centerboard. i needed and bought a used centerboard as my board was lost ( see previous posts on this )
I took Dave up on that offer and in August I sent the board to Foss Foam and they were able to make a mold and produce a brand new centerboard for me. The boards are now available directly through Foss Foam who can be reached at: http://www.newrudders.com/ and also here at the SailboatOwners.com store.
I want to thank Bob and Al Walker at Foss Foam for their great work and assistance and especially Dave Condon for his generous donation of paying half the expensive shipping costs incurred in this endeavor. Here is a photo of the new board, just out of the mold at Foss Foam.
