Has anyone installed a Bimini on their 23.5. Do you have model numbers and any pictures? Can it be up while sailing or do you need to take it down? Any information would help. Thanks

After looking for a used bimini for several years and worrying about getting the right size I bought a new one for my 23.5 from this site about 2 years ago. I have the model without stern rail seats. I am very glad I got it here. It fits right and I can sail with it up. I do need to push the boom aside when I put it up but then it is fine. Well worth the cost to have a new one that fits right.
I had my main sail modified a bit and I had a bimini made that I can stand up under and also sail with it up. I love it no bending over any more.
There are two sizes which is a 4 foot and 6 foot. Either one you could not stand up.
Teebutch, the mainsail was designed to carry the load of all the sail area and when one cuts it as you did, you do loose some performance but well understand that you wanted to be able to stand up in the cockpit while under sail.
That was one of the biggest questions what to do when the first bimini was designed and that decision was left up to me by the manufacturer as I wanted performance vs. standing up room.

If you have ever been becalmed on a really hot and humid day you would appreciate the relief a bimini can provide. I bought mine from this site and found that I needed a rivet gun to assemble. Positioning on the boat is very important so measure carefully before you drill any holes for the mounting screws.

Mike in Cape Cod, Nice looking Bimini Do you have the model number you ordered. I do not have the stern rail seats as well. What is the length of the bimini on your boat and can you sail with the full main up?
