On the Hunter 235 ther is a square hole inthe cockpit deck to mount the table. Is there a cap for the hole. Mine is always full of water from rain, etc. Any suggestion for covering it? Cheap and easy are my middel names. Thansk Hayden

Made one

I had the same problem. I crafted one out of woood and put a cedar cap on it then paint the thing bright white. Sits tight in the whole and looks pretty good.

Drain plug

Hayden, We have a similar set up on our H23. We use a round Rubbermaid drain cover approx 5" in diameter (our hole is round). A piece of wood shaped like a hockey puck attached to the underside will keep it from sliding around on your cockpit floor. We used a small wood screw with a washer to attach the drain cover to the wooden hockey puck. Hope this helps. Fair winds and calm seas, Chip Langan SV Nautical Rose H23

Cap

We have a 97H26, same size hole, I use a rubber trailer hitch cap, fits tight, looks good, and easy to replace. hope this helps. ps I heard a story about water getting in there and freezing, so probably a good idea to cover it.

Ready made & beautiful ?

The table mounting hole is the same size as most trailer hitch receivers so you can use a receiver cover. They come in all sorts of cool designs, major universities, NFL, Chevy, Dodge, Ford, ---- but not Hunter. Ken S/V WouffHong
