Hunter 22 tiller handle attachment.

Can somebody please post a picture of how a h22 tiller handle attaches to the rudder? I bought the boat but the handle is missing and whatever hardware is used to attach it to the rudder. thankfully the rudder was inside the boat.

my rudder doesn't look anything like that. Is it possibly because mine is the fin keel version? Looks like your rudder can kick up.

What I have is just a solid rudder that hangs off the transom straight down.

My 22 just has 1 bolt. I have seen the metal Chanel before it makes it a bit stronger. My tiller handle was rotten and broken off when I got my boat.

Charlie, it looks like you have had some repairs done on your rudder housing. I also noticed you have two metal plates around your tiller. Or is it 'u' shaped? This would solve one of my steering problems.

I purchased a number of years back and now use the Idasailor rudder (see below), as I bought my H22 without a rudder & tiller.
