The boat is a Hunter 19-2 trailer sailor. The problem is the shims that stabilize the centerboard are severely worn, allowing a ton of play between the board and it’s case.
I dropped the board, and am wondering what is the material to use to fabricate new shims? Has anyone done this, and what did they use?
I also have the same question for the material used as a gasket on the water ballast tank plug. When I pull the boat water leaks out there, even when the metal plate is clamped up tight. So I want to remove that and install a new gasket there.
Thanks,
David
