I am a fairly recent owner of a Hunter 170 (my first sailboat purchased) and after a week of vacation sailing I was disappointed to discover that the screws attaching the Stemhead Fitting were pulling out and had been stripped.
I am getting ready to fix after doing some research on-line as I hope to get out again soon.
I should note that after I found this I went around and checked other screws and also noticed that one of the screws associated with securing the tiller was also stripped (similar to another thread recently posted).
Has this happened to anyone else?
Any insights would be helpful. Thanks
