Hunter 170 rudder

i just bought a 01 and I need help with the pivot rod. Does it install from the bottom, the handle won't allow it to drop in from the top.

Take a photo but should drop in from the top and secured at the bottom. The tiller has to be removed. again photo of what you have

Just ready to take a picture and noticed the pin holding the tiller to the rudder. Thanks for your reply. Would you know a good website for small clips, rings etc.? In particular the clips for the rudder pivot.

Big box home stores have some of those, in stainless, depending on what type of fastener you actually need.
