Dear Hunter 170 owners: We have Hunter 170 model year 2000. It has developed cracks that run through the screws on the cleats. This is the second time that it occurs and it has been sitting waiting for repair for 6 months at a local shop in Woodbridge VA where it was purchased. I was told that Hunter is aware of the problem on other 170's and was told that newer model years have been redesigned to prevent such cracks from happening. I was also told by the local dealer that there is 90% chance that Hunter would replace the hull. that was three months ago. However, now it appears that replacement may not happen. If anyone has had similar experience to ours, please let us know. Our hull warranty expires in June of 2004 and we are expecting this cracking problem to reoccur. Thanks for your reply. Luan
