Hunter 170/18 outboard bracket

Hey gang,

I have a replacement hull hunter 18 for a hunter 170. So I have a hunter 170/18. I have the outboard bracket, but it is not installed.

What type of fasteners/ adhesive should I use? The boat is new to me and I will be adding a 2 hp honda before the sailing season.

There should be a metal plate that has been laminated between the layers of the fibreglass in that area of the hull. You will need to tap that plate so you can use the appropriate fixings such as phillips head bolts. Unless you have the specialised tools and the skill to do this I recommend that you have a local boat yard or a Hunter dealer do this for you. Check all this with Hunter Customer Service in Florida.

Living in Montana limits the local boat yards So I'lll have to contact Hunter and see if they can give me some specifics.
